Caterpillar teamed up with Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø for a senior convergence project to help generate new ideas for air valve design. That prototype is now ready for additional testing and consideration for production on future applications.

The Fall 2017 Brave Pitch Competition at Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø took place earlier this month. Students had three minutes to pitch an idea for a product, service, social solution or innovation. Winners received prize money: $250/$100/$50.

This fall marks 50 years since the death of Major Robert H. Lawrence Jr., a 1956 graduate of Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø and the nation’s first African-American astronaut. Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø is set to honor Lawrence on October 12.
