Scholar to Discuss Sentiment, Surveillance and Disappearing Black Boyhood
Body Project presents “Hood Life; or, Tracking Trayvon: Sentiment, Surveillance and Disappearing Black Boyhood.”

The Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø Body Project will present “Hood Life; or, Tracking Trayvon: Sentiment, Surveillance and Disappearing Black Boyhood,” a lecture by Dr. Maurice Wallace of Duke University, at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 31 in the Marty Theatre in the Michel Student Center. The event is free and open to the public.
Dr. Wallace is a preeminent scholar of African American Studies, Gender and Sexuality Studies, American Literature, and Visual Culture.
The lecture is funded by the Intellectual and Cultural Activities Committee (ICAC) in conjunction with Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø’s year-long celebration of Civil Rights—Past and Present.
