Playing sports is a HUGE part of a lot of students’ lives in high school and then when you get to college, lots of students give their beloved sport up. At Bradey however, we have sports options galore for whatever level you want to continue your sport at.
Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø has D1 sports of course but they also have club sports and intramural sports, making it more than easy to keep up with your sport of choice and even maybe try some new ones.
I personally have played female intramurals, indoor intramurals, outdoor intramurals, co-ed intramurals, and a club sport so I have for sure gotten to keep my competitive spirit alive.
My father was on the Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø division 1 soccer team when he attended Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø so growing up my whole life I wanted to play D1, or even D2, soccer for a University. I visited Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø and fell in love with everything except for the fact that they didn’t have a women’s soccer team. This one thing was almost enough to convince me that Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø was not for me, but I decided to give it a try and go out for the club team once I got on campus and attend the wonderful Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø.
I could not be more thankful that I did because I love the atmosphere within sports that Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø has and how being involved in these sports is possible but doesn’t deter from my school work and academics. Being on club teams/intramural teams is way less demanding of a person. Club & Intramural sports allow students some slack and understand that they are here for school first. I sometimes have to miss practice or games for other commitments and when on these teams missing is okay. Being a D1 athlete has its perks but for me, club sports and intramural sports at Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø are more than enough to balance my time and fulfill my competitive spirit.
