Elementary Education Program Redesigned

Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø will be among the first universities in the state to offer an elementary education degree fully aligned with the revised Illinois Administrative Code (IAC).
The Illinois State Educator Preparation and Licensure Board unanimously approved the Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø College of Education and Health Sciences’ proposal for a redesigned elementary education program. The board was extremely complimentary of the program’s design, particularly its English as a Second Language (ESL) endorsement component. Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø plans to begin offering the new degree program next fall.
Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø also becomes one of the first to fully integrate the ESL endorsement into the program
