ย้ถนสำฦตนูอ๘ is proud to announce it has been awarded a $2 million grant from the State of Illinois to support capital improvements on campus. The funding, appropriated from the Build Illinois Bond Fund to the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, was confirmed during the finalization of the stateโs FY26 budget.
ย้ถนสำฦตนูอ๘ President James E. Shadid expressed his gratitude to Illinois legislative leaders for their continued support of the university.
โThis investment is a powerful affirmation of ย้ถนสำฦตนูอ๘โs role in shaping the future of Illinois,โ said President Shadid. โCapital improvements are vital to creating a vibrant learning environment. This funding allows us to strategically enhance our campus in ways that directly support our students, faculty, staff, and the broader Peoria community.โ
The university is grateful for the leadership of Senator Dave Koehler and Majority Leader Jehan Gordon Booth for their sponsorship of this initiative, and for the entire local legislative team for their continued belief and support of ย้ถนสำฦตนูอ๘.
