Artificial intelligence is transforming every industry, and you’ll be ready to lead what’s next. In Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø’s AI program, you’ll build a strong foundation in programming, data structures, and computer science before exploring cutting-edge topics like machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and autonomous systems.
You’ll learn by doing, working on hands-on projects throughout the program and collaborating with classmates to design and build real-world AI solutions during a two-semester capstone experience. Along the way, you’ll develop the technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and ethical perspective to create intelligent technologies that make an impact in fields like healthcare, cybersecurity, business, data science, and beyond.

Minors
The Artificial Intelligence Foundations minor, open to all students, introduces you to the technology behind AI, along with the ethical and responsible use of AI as a tool in the workplace and everyday life.
Understanding AI’s growing role across human endeavors requires a multidisciplinary approach, drawing on the sciences, economics, and humanities alongside computational and data sciences. Administered by faculty from each of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø’s colleges, the minor lets you explore AI’s applications within your own field(s), building the critical thinking and ethical judgment needed to evaluate AI-generated solutions and navigate its impact on emerging careers.
The Computer Science and Information Systems minor, which is open to all students, gives you a foundation in software development and computer science basics.
You can customize the minor by choosing electives in databases, networking, software engineering, security, gaming or mobile computing. It’s often paired with engineering and interactive media majors.
Enhance your understanding of machine learning, artificial intelligence, data mining and distributed and noSQL databases. This concentration gives you a background in advanced tools and analytical skills valuable to design, build supervised and unsupervised learning models and analyze data.
Data science skills are in high demand in almost all settings, business, finance, banking, the medical field, industry, manufacturing and engineering environments.
The Computer Game Technology minor provides you with essential background, understanding, knowledge, and skills in the practice of computer game software design and development.
