I. Purpose

This procedure describes the process to change a password if a Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø user forgets their BUnetID password.

II. Description

BUnetID passwords can be changed on the IT Service Desk web site.

If a Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø user forgets their BUnetID password, they can

• use the self-service password reset tool on the IT Service Desk web site.
• visit the IT Service Desk in the Cullom-Davis Library.
• contact the IT Service Desk, which will initiate a video call to verify identity.

Upon authentication through this process, the account holder will be able to change their BUnetID password to a new value.

All transactions will be logged and repeated, unsuccessful logon attempts will lock the BUnetID automatically.
